Why STEAM?

Science | Technology | Engineering, Arts | Maths

Despite society's fascination with technology, there is a general lack of interest or appreciation regarding the basic science and engineering behind modern life.
We want the kids to discover the amazing world behind everyday objects and phenomena.

We are science ambassadors and communicators. We strive to present scientific and engineering concepts in a way that is both understandable, and entertaining to young people, with the hope that we can ignite a curiosity and appreciation that might not otherwise be present.

Just because a child may not be gifted in maths, or possess a genius intellect, doesn't mean that the skepticism and critical thinking skills provided by the scientific method are outside his or her realm of comprehension. All children can benefit from an ability to make more informed, rational decisions in every aspect of life.

Children are naturally curious, and our goal is to accelerate their path of discovery, equip them with essential, critical thinking tools, as well as a foundation of key scientific and engineering concepts. We want children to carry with them a model of the universe based on skepticism and empirical data.

What parents are saying

‘Please allow me to thank you wholeheartedly for the amazing work you’ve been doing with our children. I have eavesdropped on a few of your online sessions with the children and I was sincerely impressed by your approach to the subject matter and the way you encourage student participation and critical thinking.’

‘My daughter’s interest and love for your program make this a no-brainer – She is very excited to continue with STEAM.’

‘ We want to express our sincere thanks for the excellent extra-curricular classes. Our daughter absolutely loved the STEAM4KIDS sessions and we all enjoyed learning from her everything she had discovered that day.  We often continued the discoveries by researching and experimenting further, using the instructors ideas.  We do hope that you are able to run the class again next year and that our daughter can join again – she would be absolutely thrilled to carry on with STEAM.  Thanks so much again – we are extremely grateful for opening up our daughter’s eyes and heart to the wonders of science, technology and engineering and for encouraging her.  These sessions and the instructor’s enthusiasm and encouragement are exactly what her generation of young women – the scientists and engineers of the future! – need.  The sessions allowed our daughter’s imagination and understanding of the wonders of science to increase exponentially.  Science became an escape for us all, as well as source of fascination.  Thank you! ‘
